NOTICE: Some of these stories may not be for you. If you're underage for your locale and the story is rated R or NC-17, don't read it. No matter how old you are, if you are offended by sex, in any possible permutation of gender, number, or activity, don't read stories with disclaimers that warn there will be sex. There is a little button on the top of your screen marked 'Back.' Please save us both some trouble and hit it, or click here and we'll send you someplace a bit easier on the nerves, but don't say you weren't warned. Last Updated: March 21, 2007 -- added Flights of Angels, rated PG. A vampire, an angel, and a demon don't go to a bar.... (Forever Knight/Good Omens) March 09 , 2008 -- added a new LaCroix soliloquy, Love and Magic , rated R. I also updated Forever Knight to its own headings, since apparently I'm writing a series. Please note: I do not mind emails asking 'Which story is the one where X happens?' If anything, I would greatly appreciate being told when you can't find a favorite story; that way I can both point you to it and rewrite a summary that wasn't sufficiently helpful. So, please, if you can't find the story, write me and ask! I don't bite. ::g:: Even on request. Heartfelt thanks to Jai, for three years of hosting; to Laranth and Rac for the sets of gifs on my old index pages; to Torin for the gorgeous artwork here and on the front page; and to Killa, who suggested the new layout and even let me use her coding. |

| Highlander Stories With Aidan Logan/Edana ni Emer (Aidan-verse): Series |
|
|
Dramatis Personae: This is actually the comprehensive list of characters who've shown up in Aidan's universe. Gives brief descriptions, stories in which characters appear/are mentioned, and the first episode in which they were seen if they're from the show. Not updated past Sirocco; sorry! Hold On: R for implied f/f sex (2 OFCs). As close to angst as I want to get. What can go wrong if your lover doesn't know you're immortal? And how badly? (Aidan/Dani) Absent
Companions: PG-13 for discussions
of violence and a fight. Nothing in this that couldn't have
gone on one of the episodes. An immortal friend of Connor's
wanders through Seacouver, and this one may stay. About friendship,
and differing points of view. (My first story in fandom, and my first
after eleven years of not writing. Be charitable, please; I improved.
Really.) Quarrels
of All Kinds: NC-17 for
m/f sex (Methos/OFC),violence & gore. A study in methods
of stalking immortals, and the drawbacks. Or, how to hunt, whom to
hunt, and how to cope with hunters. (Aidan/Methos) Letters on a Page: R for mild language, innuendo. A love letter, and reflections on and around it. (Aidan/M) Shadow
Plays: R for violence and
implied m/f sex with some serious kinks. Cleaning up after
hunters who hunt too well, and running into other hunters. Vampires,
immortals, and blood -- oh, my. Crossover
with Forever Knight. (Aidan/LaCroix) Dancing Days: R Amanda's here, I'm supposed to rate it lower? Are you kidding? It all started with installing a security system.... (Duncan/Amanda) First
Harvests: rated NC-17
for m/f sex (Ducan/OFC), strongly implied m/m sex (Duncan/Methos),
and a challenge issued by a fugitive from the Fashion Police!
Clan Denial, come on in, you're in the right place!
(Aidan/Duncan) Prelude
To The Storm: NC-17
for m/m sex and for discussions about rape. What exactly do
the Watcher researchers do after hours? And how do you seduce
a 5000 year old man, anyway? Especially if you've never seduced
a man before? (Duncan/Methos) Nosferateu: R for m/m relationships, some fooling around. Now open! Home of good jazz, fine wine, intriguing liqueurs, and unique blood types. AKA, Duncan, Methos, and an opinionated vampire or two.... Crossover with Forever Knight. (Duncan/Methos) When First We Practice: PG-13. Learn how to break and enter without it being theft! Clan Denial, come on in -- the water's a balmy 90 degrees or so, and Rich's doing handstands. The
Gathering Darkness: NC-17
for m/m/f sex and intrigues in process. Three strong-minded
immortals trying to work out a relationship, in the midst of stalkers,
intrigues, and meeting Joe's new lady. Oh, and Kyra's here,
too. (You remember Kyra, right? Tall, blond, excessive
amnesia for awhile, and some interesting opinions on 'swords' from
Season 6's "Patient #7"?) Enjoy! (Duncan/Methos/Aidan)
Explanations:
NC-17 for m/f/m sex, for violence,
and for BDSM (bondage, dominance & submission, mild masochism).
Damien's having trouble in Charleston, too -- he and Stormy have the
date from hell, in fact. In which questions are answered, and
more questions arise, and more answers are demanded.... (Duncan/Methos/Aidan) Crystalline
Patterns: R
for implied m/m sex, for implied m/f/m sex, and for more silliness
than any one author should have to put up with! Also known as
the Christmas story. Crossover with Forever
Knight. (Duncan/Methos/Aidan) (Part
of me strongly suspects I should be ashamed of myself for this next
one, but oh, well, life is short....)
Intermission:
S for rampaging authorial silliness.
This one makes the Christmas party look staid, sober, and respectable....
Right. Back at the line war, we have.... Intermezzo:
PG-13
for implied relationships. In which all the plot lines which
should have been in Crystalline Patterns
finally show up. Plus two birthday parties, some Christmas presents,
and a few odd characters. Dirty tricks are us. (Duncan/Methos/Aidan) |
Poaching:
R for strongly implied sex, both
m/f & m/m, and for the aftermath of physical & emotional abuse.
Being a treatise on the care and feeding of new immortals.... (I.e.,
meet Marc Scipio.) (Duncan/Methos/Aidan) 'Oops' Is A Four-Letter Word: R for m/m relationships. Mischief, havoc, and misinformation come home to roost.... Also known as, 'practical jokes can backfire.' (Duncan/Methos) Sirocco:
rated NC-17. Faith, loyalty,
friendship, honor... and hatred, jealousy, envy, and desire.
War and love, torture and healing -- everything I never wanted to
write and a few things I didn't know I could write. Novel length.
(Duncan/Methos,
D/M/Aidan, Connor/Xan/Alex)
Currents: R for ugliness of spirit, odd though that may sound. This is Connor's take on the double quickening from Sirocco. Stormwrack, Driftwood, and Fallen Leaves: Snippets from Sirocco. G to NC-17. These are the tidbits and pruned pieces, in date order, from Sirocco. More updates may come, or some of these may turn into completed, independent stories. (Connor/Xan/Alex, possibly others?) Line War Rules: Just what it says. Scorecard: Unrated. Can't track the players in the line war? Head this way Second Rate Thief, by Raine_Wynd: PG-13. Amanda doesn't like being ignored or forgotten.... Especially during things like, oh, line wars? Signs & Portents, by Gyrfalcon: PG-13. This is more an X-File than a Highlander piece, but I'm reliably informed that it makes sense even if you aren't familiar with X-Files. Mulder receives a call asking him to come to New Mexico and see where the Ancient Ones fought a great battle. In the Aftermath, by Raine_Wynd: PG. Rich's mood and contemplations after Sirocco. Waking Up and Looking Back, by Mz. Lizzy. PG-13. The follow-up to In the Aftermath, with Rich somewhere in Texas. Do I Get the Job? by Mz. Lizzy. PG-13. Follows Waking Up and Looking Back, and it's just plain fun! Stained Glass: R, so far, for strongly implied m/m polyamory. More of the fall-out from the Line War: Aidan, this time. *Be warned*: WIP. No complaints accepted. Ishtvan Aziz 's journal, Nov. 1998; six months post-Sirocco. R (language). Not just another pretty face, not as shallow as the sparkly waters make people think, and worried about his best friend who was in the wrong line when hell broke loose. Rafferty Conlan's journal, 12/28/99. R (nightmares and language). Aftermath of the line war from the POV of someone on the other side. Consider it a quasi-sequel to Nosferateu. ...Greatly Exaggerated. PG-13. The real story of what happened to Kastagir in the first movie, containing pieces of the third movie. Being a resurrection fic with which I am very pleased. Stormy. PG-13. Bits and pieces about Stormy & Damien's courtship. I really need to write up their wedding, but I have to get Tracy Vetter killed and Connor's new student to NYC first. Meanwhile, enjoy this. Stormy & Damien wedding ficlet, by Raine_Wynd. I have no idea if this is how the wedding will go, but in the meantime, enjoy reading this! |
| Highlander Stories: Aidan-verse: Freestanding Stories & Tidbits |
|
| Apology Snippet. PG-13. Crossover with X-Files. Owing debts is sometimes dangerous, and frequently unavoidable. Favors. NC-17 (impl. violence, torture, non-con; explicit m/m/f) Sinan ibn Salman guaranteed a millennium's luck by torturing an immortal before; he wants to repeat his success. (Yes, A Deadly Virtue has the same opening; no, they aren't the same story.) (Duncan/Methos/Aidan) A Fool & His Art. PG (language). Alex Krycek is trying to retrieve something Walter Graham shouldn't have been allowed to buy. Unfortunately, so is Aidan. Crossover with X-Files. Force of Habit. R (violence, torture, non-con). Darius wasn't always a priest; his relations with other immortals weren't always friendly. Crossover with Forever Knight. Homecoming. PG-13 A possible end to Krycek's job, and a possible destination for the crash-landing when the job's done. Crossover with X-Files and with some of tarsh's characters. (Farrell Jameson/Zhenya Kutarov) An Irish Werewolf in America. R (violence & profanity); it's a werewolf story, after all. Mulder's been talking to a man about werewolves, or do I have that the wrong way around? Crossover with X-Files. Marc Scipio's journal, undated. PG. Speculation on differences, or lack thereof, between mortals and immortals, by a new student. Soaked. G It's Ramirez' fault, according to Connor (and, once she quit yelling, Aidan). Marc thinks it's another thing no one told him about the lunatics he's now related to. Oh, No! Not Another Learning Experience! PG-13. Xan, Alex, and Connor heckling a history lecture. Written for Rac's Alphabet challenge. Split Hide. R (fencing, full frontal nudity). Even immortals get to take vacations, but did Connor have to invite Fitz to attend a Scottish Games in upstate NY? Alternate Aidan-verse universes: Desolation. Unrated. Days where the memories are too many, and too cheerless. No longer part of the sequence for the Aidan-verse, but I'm leaving it up anyway. (Duncan/Methos/Aidan implied) Law of Averages. R. Not the usual facets of Joe and Methos, but it's not usually a mortal threatening them, either. (Duncan/Methos) Never Swear On The Lady's Honor, by Raine_Wynd. NC-17 (explicit poly sex) Connor, Alex, Xan, and one of Amanda's students; a lovely night, and a dangerous morning after. This will probably end up an AU of the Aidan-verse, but why let that stop you? (Xan/Alex/Nina/Connor) Kiss Me Hello, by Raine_Wynd. NC-17 Sequel to Never Swear On The Lady's Honor. Also AU, also with Alex and Xan and Flynn (of my characters), and Nina and others of Raine's. Plus Ça Change. NC-17 -- WIP An alternate universe that took over my mind. If the Kurgan never got Ramirez; if Voice is real and Cassandra isn't the only one who has it; if Caspian and Silas died decades back -- how would Kronos put the Horsemen together again? (Methos/Kronos, Duncan/Methos & Xan/Alex/Connor implied) |
Tidbits & oddities: Aidan's House. The first two floors of her place in Seacouver, as best I could get a house plan program to kick them out. I'll try to get the other floors scanned and posted later, and maybe a few of the other houses I've drawn up, as well. Aidan's Students. The full list of Aidan's students, with descriptions, dates, places, and status as currently known. The Duffel Bag. For those who've wondered what Aidan keeps in that duffel bag of hers; Watchers are requested not to look. Embarrassing Immortal Deaths. Um. Sheer silliness that lives up to the title, included here only because I maligned Xan in it. Line of Methos/Semnut. Another lovely courtesy from Raine_Wynd. She used a geneaology program to draw this up, and we're blaming any errors or missing names on Alex & Xan, who in turn will blame Connor's case of brandy. The Rogue's Gallery. Raine_Wynd was kind enough to do a montage of pictures for some of the HL characters who show up in these stories; I found Forever Knight pictures to add to it. Names are appended for the interested.

|
Parched. PG It wasn't just a duel; it was deliberate, premeditated torment and murder. It also left Matthew wondering why he did it. Handled
With A Chain. NC-17.
James Horton's descent into Hunting, in his own words, as found --
and read -- by his brother-in-law. Rebellion in the First Person: Doppelganger. PG Four murders, by four different people, in a small town -- but all four have rock solid alibis at the time of the murder, and that's driving Matthew McCormick to distraction. A doppelganger starts to seem more possible when Cory's mortal, one-armed twin shows up in the town diner. Crossover with X-Files. NEW Storm Crow. R or NC-17. Krycek, McCormick, and preparations for an impending alien invasion. "If you're expecting me to admit that was checkmate, I'm afraid you've mistaken the situation." Crossover with X-Files.
|
Reflections. NC-17 (m/m sex). Duncan needed someone to talk to after Richie died and Methos vanished, and Matthew McCormick walked by. No one expected the results. (Duncan/Matthew) Form
and Substance. NC-17
(m/m sex). Reunions, encounters, and more innuendo at an auction.
Duncan's next encounter with Matthew leads them to wonder what they
want, and from whom. (Duncan/Matthew) Sparring. PG (implied m/m relationship). Flirting, innuendo, and swordplay -- what more do you want from a vignette? (Duncan/Matthew) There will be at least two more stories in this series; Depth of Field is currently in progress. |
| Challenges. R "I apologize for calling your wife a bloated warthog, and I bid you good day, sir." How in hell did Connor get away from that duel without tripping or blowing his cover as an immortal? And who was his second? (Connor/Methos) De Profundis. PG Rev. Bell's musings on Carl and Matthew, on Carl and Derek, on the Game, on immortality, and families of choice. A Deadly Virtue. NC-17 Sinan ibn Salman is looking for a dead woman; Duncan doesn't want to let the challenge pass, even if the lady is safely buried;Methos is tired of watching him fight to protect people who don't need it. Opens the same way Favors does, but this is not the same story. (Duncan/Methos) The Devil's Own. NC-17 (violence, black magic, assorted nastiness) Alex Krycek went to scout out a house... after Amanda was caught breaking in. AKA, 'naked Krycek, leather-clad Cory, and Rebecca gets to kick ass.' Crossover with X-Files. Distinctions. Unrated; poem. Ally, enemy, or dream? Double-Edged. Unrated The Game is a reality; accepting that reality can take a while, or some very good reasons. Hunting one immortal creature might find several, after all. Etudes In A Minor Key. PG-13 One story, from five points of view, including Connor's. Crossover from X-Files; part two of the Time & Tide series. (Mulder/Krycek) Exodus 22:18. NC-17 Yet another way to resurrect Kronos; this time, Cassandra gets to 'help.' An AU of Sleeps With Coyotes' superb Everything Dies series, written and posted with her permission. Crossover with X-Files. (Kronos/Krycek/Methos, implied) Falling Stars. PG Why should Connor be the only one who hears quickenings talking to him? Set during "The End of Innocence." I've got to write the sequel to this one day, but I've putting that plot bunny off for four years now.... (Haresh Clay/Carter Wellan, implied) Five Things That Might Have Happened.... PG Sets of facts and sometimes short stories about various characters. (Includes Crossovers with X-Files). Fools Everywhere. R Not everyone is prepared for the Game, and not everyone survives it. Some people, though, are just idiots about it. (Haresh Clay/Carter Wellan) Forces. R Speculation on how Bryan Cullen ended up addicted to alcohol and drugs led to a story about what other things might be addictive to other people. Forge. PG Heredity is a moot point for immortals; this one is about environment, and arming yourself, and disarming yourself, too. Kastagir fic, because there's never enough of that. Imaginings and Incantations. R What if it wasn't Methos who can't commit or change his ways? Duncan/Methos first time, aka "The Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove" fic. (Duncan/Methos) In Media Res. G An assassin walked into a bar; the bank robber arrived shortly thereafter; the bartender just Watched. Crossover with X-Files. The Innocent Sleep. G New Year's Eve at Joe's bar. Written for Amireal's International Nap Day challenge. Invitations. PG I don't believe I let Methos throw a Halloween party! It'll Never Work. PG A caper fic, with death, deception and magic built in -- Amanda really should have known better than to wake Methos at 3 AM. When you do that, he's likely to still be awake at 4 AM.... (Resurrection story) Joe's Journal, 4/28/96. PG-13 Joe doesn't have any problems seeing what's going on, and he wishes Duncan and Methos would get a clue. Another ABC challenge piece. (Duncan/Methos UST)
|
Lightning. PG-13 Joe receives a demo tape for a band, and is surprised to recognize one of the back-up singers. Written for Devo's 'Where Does Methos Go?' challenge, and one of the HL Lyric Wheels. Memento (Mori) . Adults only Duncan's having trouble sleeping after "Deliverance." Written for the HL Travel Lyric Wheel. (Therapeutic is the sequel/antidote.) Needs Must. PG-13 Guns aren't supposed to be part of the Game. Krycek's about to hear that, from someone as dangerous as he is. Crossover with X-Files; part one of the Time & Tide series. The Old Gods Rise. R Good has been winning a lot lately, and Fate enjoys watching a good Game. What else to do but even the sides a bit? (Resurrection story) One Clear Morning, cowritten with Raine_Wynd. (Resurrection story) Crossover with Buffy: the Vampire Slayer. (Kronos/Spike, Kronos/Methos implied) Sanguine. PG Ceridwyn, Matthew of Salisbury, and Alex Raven are hunting a man with a taste for blades, and their best source of information is a former sailer who Sees things in cards. It's 1888, and the hunting ground is London.... Seed, Like Pearls. PG-13 A Greek myth masquerading as an HL fic, or vice versa? Gods, immortals, worship, death, an attempt to posit the origins of immortals, and an excuse to write about Fitz. Shadow. PG Hugh FitzCairn has always under the basics of life: wine, women, song, or maybe that's beer, darts, conversation.... Someone needs to teach them to Krycek, however. Crossover with X-Files. Static. PG-13 A short piece about mixed signals, written for Rac's ABC challenge. (Duncan/Methos preslash) Stillpoint. NC-17 Methos, Mulder, and a hurricane. I'm informed that it makes sense even without having read that story. When you're having nightmares for weeks, it's time to talk to someone. Sean may be dead, but Duncan does have his quickening.... Thieves and Other Rogues cowritten with Raine_Wynd. R The problem with being a very good thief is that someone might want you to steal something. Amanda's none too amused about being recruited, though. Crossover with X-Files. This Mortal Coil. PG-13 A Robin Hood who shrugs off bricks and two by fours chases a pirate into an alley. A rather strange Halloween night in a college town. Unspoken Laws. R This is what it means to be immortal. Companion to Double-Edged. Watering Hole. G AKA, 'Darius in a Swiss village.' Everything and everyone must come, at last, to the watering hole; what better place for Darius to wait out his prey?
Nota Bene: If you can't find the story that you're looking for here, please check over at my Highlander Crossover index. Short of a crossover that takes place in my Aidan-verse, recent HL crossovers are listed over here, since I'm writing 100 for a challenge. (What was I thinking?) |
| Like the madwoman I am, I signed up to play in the Crossovers100 challenge. The short version is, I signed up to write 100 crossovers of any Highlander characters (or a story recognizably in the Highlander universe, for that matter) with any other fandom(s) I want -- 100 words minimum, no maximum size. 100 Highlander/Buffy crosses? Sure. 100 stories where I cross with a different fandom each time? Sure. My only problem is that I've never been any good at 100 word drabbles. This might take a while. Adding an HL Crossovers index seemed less complicated than adding (eventually) 100 stories that would all have to be listed under Highlander and the other fandom as well.... Any stories for the Aidan-verse will be listed under that index, however. |
All of which is to say that if you're looking for a Highlander crossover of mine and you can't find it on this page... Here is the list of stories by title; Here is the list of story 'prompts' (the word that sparked the story); And here is the list of characters and the stories they've appeared in so far. Eighteen down, five more in progress, twelve fandoms crossed so far....

PG Four murders, by four different people, in a small town -- but all four have rock solid alibis at the time of the murder, and that's driving Matthew McCormick to distraction. PG Sets of facts and sometimes short stories about various characters. (Includes a crossover with Highlander). The Flame of Memory. PG Truth, fires, and the nature of the X-Files. A Mulder soliloquy written for the XF 'Raise the Dead' Lyric Wheel. Guises. PG The Consortium went up in flames when the Hellmouth went down in dust. A year or so later, people have caught their breath and realized that 'You break it; you bought it,' extends on out to 'and you clean it up, too.' Crossover with Buffy: the Vampire Slayer. In Media Res. G An assassin walked into a bar; the bank robber arrived shortly thereafter; the bartender just Watched. Crossover with Highlander. I Can See Now. PG-13 My first try at an endgame for the alien invasion. (Krycek/Mulder implied) |
Our Stranger. G A small town is only a good place to hide if they like you. This is a small town's take on one of the XF character's attempts to hole up and lick his wound. Yes, I'm avoiding his name on purpose. Pinstriped. R Werewolves, sure. Werebears? Okay, Norse myth, sure. Only the Lone Gunmen would investigate a were-skunk. Prices and Chances. Shadow. R Methos, Krycek, and a Halloween story about the god of shadows and the god who stole fire for him.... Crossover with Highlander. Simple Things. PG What do you do when the fight's over? Krycek runs into a man who plans to teach him about the basics: wine, women, song, or maybe that's beer, darts, conversation.... Crossover with Highlander. Stillpoint. The stories are not the same; I recommend both to you, if only for the parallax. Crossover with Highlander. (Methos/Mulder) Symbols. PG-13 Why is Krycek like a rental car? (Yes, that's the summary. No, I'm not crazy. Quite.) Thieves and Other Rogues, cowritten with Raine_Wynd. R Krycek needed a very good thief; a thief with half a dozen names and some information she didn't want revealed to any government would do just fine. Crossover with Highlander. The Ways The World Ends. R (some of it got graphic) Five ways the world didn't end, or, 'The nursery rhymes' stories. We, The Living. R, probably. Samantha Mulder was never the only child taken; she's just one of the ones who didn't come home. This is a story about the ones who finally did.

than any one author should have to put up with! Also known as
the Christmas story. Crossover with Highlander.
(Duncan/Methos/Aidan) |

PG Sets of facts and sometimes short stories about various characters. Keeping The Wolves From The Doors -- R Snakes, world gates, alchemists, a vampire, and a kidnapped priest: this can't bode well.... Crossover with Highlander & Full Metal Alchemist. Shades of Grey -- Darius, LaCroix, and a chess game. Crossover with Highlander. The Rogue's Gallery. Guises. PG-13 The Hellmouth was sucked down into dust at the same time that the Consortium went up in flames. A year or so later, the Slayers and the Rebellion have caught their breath and realized that 'You break it; you bought it,' extends on out to 'and you clean it up, too.' Crossover with X-Files. Respite. PG Two heroes sorely in need of a vacation run into each other. They also run into tea, cocoa, conversations about vampires, and really good pancakes. Crossover with X-Files. Reunions. R (implied m/m) A man just back from the (permanently, he thought) dead needs a drink; whether he needs to run into Spike is a bit more questionable. Crossover with Highlander. (Resurrection story) (Kronos/Spike, Kronos/Methos implied)
Time Upon A Once. PG-13 It wasn't only Corwin of Amber's brothers who looked for him when he went missing. Fiona and Llewella hunted for him, too. Crossover with several other fandoms/stories. (See the notes.)

Time Is, Time Was, Time May Be. D (disturbing) River's view of time, names, and the 'Verse. |
Even & Odds. PG A betting pool on the Major, the Earl, and their sex life, if any. But really -- doesn't everyone gossip about their bosses? Fair and Dark. PG-13 A stolen statue, a bribe, and a Parisian night. Refers back to events in The Devil's Own. Crossover with X-Files.
NEW Flights of Angels. PG A vampire, an angel, and a demon don't even make it to the bar... Crossover with Forever Knight.
Unanswered Riddles. PG She woke in the night knowing that her doom had missed her by an hour at most... and that it was still waiting for her. So Lyra got up, and packed, and went to meet it. Written for Yuletide Treasures.
Rules. Unrated Theology, or original fic, or... dunno. Not blasphemy, I don't think.
Drops. PG-13 How the Black Pearl got her name. Crossover with X-Files. (Yes, you did read that correctly.) |
| The Eyrie Notification mailing list is exactly that, and I'm the only one who can post to it. Low volume of email and a one to two day lead on story announcements. Click on the button to subscribe. I can be reached directly here. Rhi's livejournal. Mostly silly quizes, and comentary, but it's been known to have fandom questions or fic announcements. For fic announcements, however, you're better off with the Eyrie Notifications mailing list. Muse Of The Day's livejournal. (I don't believe tarsh and I are doing this, but it is a nice place to post first drafts/short pieces I haven't put into HTML yet.) Alyss's livejournal. Still another partner in fic, I mean crime. In Defense Of Original Characters. Believing that original character automatically equal 'Mary Sue' is a common fallacy that I consider dangerous to original fanfiction, and original fiction, on the 'Net. How NOT To Send Feedback. Exactly what it says, and I suspect that the people reading it aren't the ones who actually need to worry. Suggestions For Constructive Criticism. The companion piece to 'what not to do.' If only because, having complained, I feel obliged to try to offer better ways to do it. Black. Let there be darkness. Descent. Are they flying, or are they falling? Perspective... and landings. Mops & Metaphors Creativity and cleaning, or maybe that's the wrong order? Solutions Dreams. What's drifting through your mind? Untouched. By hands, perhaps. Favorite Links & Stories. I haven't updated this in far too long. I got this page done, though, and the site moved -- I might yet update it. Meanwhile, consider it some older fiction you might like. There's also a version that isn't in tables, available here. |
